چکیده

s from the YUPER Meeting in Paris: The properties of UPE Marek Rác, Ankush Prasad, Anshu Rastogi, Pavel Pospíšil Despite the fact that the phenomenon of UPE is known for almost a century, the mechanisms behind the emission are still not fully understood. Measurements on U937 cells, clamydomonas and chemical systems prove the emission from both lipids and proteins. Emission was measured from systems containing both lipids and proteins and also from isolated systems. The spectral analysis of UPE reveals the maximum emission in the region of 600‐700nm, which is the region of excited triplet carbonyls emission, chlorophyll emission and singlet oxygen dimol emission. The kinetics of UPE suggests that reactions with different rates are responsible for the UPE. The deep understanding of the origin of UPE can results in a very powerful analytic method. Combining ultra‐weak photon emission with biochemical parameters having a direct link to REDOX processes in a collagen induced arthritis animal model. Eduard van Wijk, Masaki Kobayashi, Masutaka Kumasaka2, Thomas Hankemeier, Jan van der Greef, Roeland van Wijk This research is based on the notion that there is convincing evidence for a role of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of many chronic diseases including Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). It has stimulated the utilization of a non‐invasive technique in human research based on spontaneous ultra‐weak photon emission (UPE). UPE can be used as an effective biological marker of ROS inhibition and/or promotion of healing. Moreover recent developments in Metabolomics enable the measurement of biological molecules with a direct link to oxidation /reduction processes by using electrochemical detection. This so‐ called coularray technology enables the profiling of body fluids of biochemical components of this class. To combine both measurement techniques, arthritis is induced in mice by a combined injection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) together with the joint cartilage component type II collagen. This injection of CII and LPS was continued every 2 weeks up to day 56. Publications of interest: Statistical Analysis of Unexpected Daily Variations in an Electrochemical Transmutation Experiment. This study investigates the relationship between renewable energy consumption, agricultural value added and per capita GDP with CO2 emissions in selected countries of MENA region. The study estimates the values of cointegration amongst the selected varaiables  using panel data from selected countries for the period 1990 to 2014. The results indicated a long-run relationship between these variab...

Detection of Ultraweak Photon Emission (UPE) from Cells as a Tool for Pathological Studies

Objective: It is well-known that all living cells emit ultra-weak photon emission (UPE), which is due to byproducts of chemical reactions in cell metabolisms. It has been shown that Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in the cells enhances the UPE intensity. The magnitude of such UPE is extremely weak (i.e. a few to 103 photons/ (sec.cm2)), and the detection of such ultra-weak signals is hardly possi...

Different Aspects of Ultra-weak Photon Emissions: A Review Article

All biological samples emit ultra-low intensity light without any external stimulation. Recently, scientific communities have paid particular attention to this phenomenon, known as ultra-weak photon emission (UPE). UPE has been introduced in the literature as an alternative for biophoton, low-level chemiluminescence and ultra-weak bioluminescence, while it differs from ordinary bioluminescence,...

In-vitro Antitumor Activity and Antifungal Activity of Pennogenin Steroidal Saponins from paris Polyphylla var. yunnanensis

Paris polyphylla Smith var. yunnanensis, has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for its antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties; in addition it has been used to cure liver cancer in particular. In this current study, β-ecdysterone (1) and three pennogenin steroidal saponins (2-4) were isolated from the EtOH extract of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis, and then tested for their antit...
